Cali was my first stop in Colombia. The city itself is fairly relaxed and has a few beautiful city quarters to explore. Surrounded by hills and blessed with a lovely clima, the city is the capital of colombian salsa. Every night the Caleños take to the numerous clubs in the city and dance their stress away. Great atmosphere and I enjoyed being a part of it! Cali war also mein erster Stop in Kolumbien. Die Stadt ist ziemlich entspannt und einige malerische Viertel leiden zum spazieren ein. Umgeben von Bergen und gesegnet mit einem herrlichen Klima versteht Cali sich als Hauptstadt des kolumbianischen Salasa. Jeden Abend zieht es die Caleños in die zahlreichen Salsa Clubs der Stadt in denen sich der Stress von der Seele getanzt wird. Es war eine Freude Teil dieser Atmosphaere sein zu koennen.

Tena lies in the heart of the ecuadorian Amazonas. I spent just under a week in this small but interesting city. During my stay I visited an Animal Sanctuary in the djungle, hiked to hidden caves and waterfalls in the forrest and played football with the locals. Tena liegt im Herzen des ecuadorianischen Amazonas. Eine knappe Woche verbrachte ich in der kleinen aber interessanten Stadt. Waehrend meiner Zeit vor Ort besuchte Ich eine Tierrettungsstation im Djingel, wanderte zu Hoehlen und Wasserfaellen im Djungel und spielte Fussball mit den Einheimischen.

So my mum and her boyfriend came over to visit and invited me for a 2 week roundtrip through Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. We met in Quito from where we left for the town of Otavalo at the foot of the volcano Imbabura. From here we went on to Papallacta, a town with thermal springs in the middle of the Cayamba Coca ecological reserve. Our route lead us to the famous volcano Cotopaxi and the city of Riobamba. We left the western mountain range through cacao and banana plantations down to the beautiful city of Cuenca. The last stop on the mainland was Guayaquil from where we went over to the Galapagos. Meine Mutter und ihr Freund kamen mich also besuchen und luden mich auf eine 2 woechige Rundreise durch Ecuador und die Galapagos Inseln ein. Wir trafen uns in Quito von wo aus wir wieter nach Otavalo, gelegen am Fusse des Vulkans Imbabura, fuhren. Weiter ging es nach Papallacta im Nationalpark Cayamba Coca. Von hioer aus stoppten wir am beruehmten Vulkan Cotopaxi und fuhren weiter
